Year 4


Welcome! This summer, Year 4 will be learning all about our local area and comparing it to South America. We will focus on important landmarks and human and physical features of each place.
In English, we will be reading a range of fantastic books such as ‘Charlotte’s Web’, ‘The Wolves in the Wall’ and ‘The Lost Happy Endings’. Year 4 will be writing suspense stories, newspaper reports and persuasive adverts!

In Maths, we will continue looking at fractions and decimals. After, we will look at time and money.
In Science, we will start by continuing to study electricity. We will make circuits. After, we will look at classification. We will explore and use classification keys to help group, identify and name a variety of living things
In RE, we will be thinking about the following questions:
Christianity
What does the story of ‘the lost sheep’ mean?
When Jesus left, what was the impact of Pentecost?
