Collective Worship is at the heart of our life as a Church of England School. It is an engaging and fulfilling part of school life, underpinning all that we do, and it prepares us for the day ahead, allowing for a time of community, quiet, reflection and prayer. Recognising the innate spirituality that all children possess, through our Collective Worship we seek to support our children in their own capacities for, and sense of, true awe and wonder. We seek to encourage them to contemplate the existence of God in order to respond, from their own level of understanding and belief, to any offering, be it through prayer, song or drama.
Collective worship is held daily in school and is delivered in different ways. Our collective worship is invitational, inclusive and inspirational. We invite everyone to pray and reflect together and enjoy Bible stories, poems, artworks, inspirational real-life stories, and stories from other faiths. Parents and carers are welcome to our Friday worship and services throughout the year, and the children are encouraged to share with us the different ways they worship at home.

Acts of worship are carefully planned around Christian Festivals and are an opportunity to help children learn about and acquire our Christian values in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. Every act of worship contains music, song and prayer and a quiet opportunity for reflection.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from daily acts of worship. We would encourage you to discuss this with Mrs Anderton, our Headteacher.

We love our visits to the church to experience various seasons in the Christian tradition.

Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
Colossians 3:10;12-14 MSG
