Intent
At Meriden C of E Primary School, our PSHE curriculum enables our children to become healthy, independent and responsible members of society. They understand how they are developing personally and socially, and grow in confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. We provide our children with opportunities for them to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society. We uphold British values and support our children to show our school values of kindness, responsibility, pride, ambition, determination and teamwork in their daily lives. Our children are encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community. As a KiVa school we work with all members of the school community including parents, children, staff and wider community members to promote anti-bullying though a programme aimed at preventing bullying, intervention and strategies to support children, monitoring the effects on children’s well-being both at home and in school.
